Meet Our Doctor

Thomas G. Hirose, M.D, is. Coagulation specialist and serves as the Medical Director for the Laguna Hills Anticoagulation Clinic, Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center. He is considered a regional and national expert concerning bleeding and clotting disorders including the appropriate use of CoumadinⓇ, PradaxaⓇ, XareltoⓇ ,EliquisⓇ, and SavaysaⓇ, for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and deep vein thrombosis. 

Dr. Hirose completed his Transfusion Medicine Fellowship and Board Certification at the Harvard Medical School- New England Deaconess Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, during which he provided coagulation consultation for the Liver Transplantation and Open Heart Surgery programs.

He completed his internship in General Surgery at University California Irvine Medical Center, Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Cedars- Sinai Medical Center, and has worked as an emergency room physician. 

Dr. Hirose has recieved  numerous teaching awards for his participation in the training of residents and fellows at Harbor- UCLA Medical Center. His academic interest includes umbilical cord stem cells collection-cryopreservation, as well as the clinical treatment of hypercholesterolemia utilizing LDL aphaeresis technology.
